I had a chance the other day to install the LED lights for the license plate. I went over to Jay's house where we installed the newly heatshrink wrapped panels. In case you want more info on that, here is the original post [ http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2213190/LED-License-Plate-Light-Update-Protective-cover.html ] I bought the LED's off of Jay from some of the extra stock that he had. He did the heatshrink for me and I must say the installation is very straight forward because the lights come with adapters for the wedge bulbs and for the dome light connectors. Before: This is with PIAA Superwhite Wedge Bulbs and cleaned housings (Excuse the quality, i did not have a tripod) As you can see, they are not that bad. However, i had already previously cleaned the housings very well to remove all the caked on dirt on the outside (and inside) of the plastic cover.
Installation is simple. Just remove the covers.
 Plug in the supplied adaptor
After: You can see how much brighter the license plate is now. The difference is quite drastic. It may look like you would be getting alot of glare from it being too bright but in person it perfect. The LEDs give off a very clean, white, & even light. Just look at the amount of light being thrown onto the ground.
 Take a step further back.
I am very pleased with the results. I liken the brightness of these lights to that of the new IS250/350 Lexus. I saw several on the road and I believe that these are actually even brighter! Most of you have probably read Seedy's post about his results and i want to just reiterate a several points: - Heat. These LEDs create no heat. After a 1.5hr drive I felt the lights they were perfectly handleable. - I know this mod isn't going to impress everyone. If you like it, thanks! If you don't, thanks anyway. - I really like how clear and clean the license plate look. I don't care if cops can more easily read my plate. They are going to run em if they can read it or not.
